ICF Field Trip to Dak'Art 2008

Arts Council England collaborated with ICF to facilitate a field trip for artists and curators to visit Dak’Art 2008, the 8th Biennial of Contemporary African Art, in Dakar. Participants on the trip included nine ACE Inspire Curatorial Fellows, three ACE officers, independent curators, as well as curators from institutions such as Tate and Ikon. Notable programming that the group attended was a salon with Manthia Diawana and Salah Hassan, and key networking opportunities were facilitated with CCH Pounder, Bisi Silva, Florence Alexis, Simon Njami, and the organisers of the Festival.
