Diasporic Animateur Curatorial Fellow: Yewande YoYo Odunubi
ICF released an open call to emerging or early-career freelance curators/producers from diasporic backgrounds with an interest in archives, to conduct research into the material that we have produced over ICF’s fourteen-year history of activity, in order to develop and produce new programming that critically uncovers and engages with aspects of that material.
In October 2021 we appointed Yewande YoYo Odunubi to the role and she joined our team two days a week for a year, exploring ICF’s archive, speaking with alumni, participating in mentoring and peer networking, and mapping out a series of questions raised within ICF’s work that resonated with her practice.
Yewande’s research has manifested in multiple outputs, including:
A solo exhibition in December 2022
An interview with ICF Curator and Digital Strategist, Orsod Malik
