Péjú Oshin
Péjú Oshin is a British-Nigerian curator, writer, and cultural strategist whose work explores the intersections of art, identity, and culture.
She is the Founder of Studio Sovereign, a creative thought studio and consultancy working with artists, galleries, institutions and organisations to transmit cultural ideas and experiences to the world. She is currently an Associate Lecturer at London College of Fashion and a trustee of Iniva (Institute of International Visual Arts). She has previously held curatorial roles at Gagosian as Associate Director (2022-25), Tate as Curator (2018-22), and served as Chair of Trustees at Peckham Platform as well as serving on panels for a number of arts awards and prizes.
Selected curatorial projects include Rites of Passage (Gagosian, 2023), Beyond Boundaries (Tate, 2021), and Stillness: We Invoke the Black to Rest (Tate, 2020). As a writer, her work has been featured in Gagosian Quarterly, Financial Times HTSI, the prestigious Ars Viva Award, and a number of exhibition texts for artist exhibitions. She is also the author of Between Words & Space (2021), a collection of poetry and prose.
