Global Plantation Series Artists Q&A

The final discussion of the Global Plantation Series was a Q&A with artists Sancintya Mohini Simpson, Jasmine Togo-Brisby and Shiraz Bayjoo moderated by ICF’s Head of Programmes Jessica Taylor. This Q&A takes up and responds to threads of connection that emerged through the artists’ recorded conversations reflecting on their practices, and engagement with plantation and slave histories, with Anna Arabindan-Kesson. The series as a whole contemplated the global forms and meanings of the plantation historically and in our contemporary moment, through the artists’ engagements with these narratives in Australia, Vanuatu, Mauritius, South Africa.
