Stephanie Chung
Stephanie Chung is a curator and cultural practitioner from Hong Kong, currently based in London. Chung holds an MFA Curating from Goldsmiths, University of London (2024), and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hong Kong (2019), where she researched topics within the disciplines of sociolinguistics and cultural studies.
Drawing on her multidisciplinary background, Chung seeks to explore the curatorial potential in socially-engaged, interdisciplinary, and site-specific practices. Her curatorial practice is informed by research interests in language politics, the fluidity of community, publication as artistic/curatorial practice, and the potentiality of thalassocentric thinking, often attending to political ambivalences within and between narratives.
Chung was a Curatorial Fellow at Goldsmiths CCA (2024–25) and has delivered projects with institutions including Goldsmiths CCA, Chisenhale Studios, Cubitt Artists, and Deptford X. Her earlier experience was rooted in Hong Kong’s non-profit art sector.
