Tamar Clarke-Brown
Tamar Clarke-Brown is a writer, artist and Arts Technologies Curator at Serpentine, where she commissions and produces artworks and Creative R&D projects engaged with worldbuilding and the civic and emancipatory potential of technologies.
Her work centres diasporic imaginaries with special interests in the formation of language, behaviour and systems of belief, especially as explored and enacted through myth, archives, recursive ecosystems, performance and pedagogy. Recent work includes the widely touring video game project Third World: The Bottom Dimension, a consciousness-raising tool conceptualised by Brazilian artist Gabriel Massan, and THE DELUSION, a multiplayer forum addressing polarisation led by artist and game designer Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley. Tamar was a 2024-5 NEW INC mentor, Dazed 100 (2021) and has presented with institutions including ICA, Tate, Yale, Somerset House, NTS Radio.
