THREE MOMENTS / THE CARIBBEAN
THE CARIBBEAN PAVILION AT THE LIVERPOOL BIENNIAL
Lavar Munroe
(Bahamas, *1982)
“Inspired by society's take on rape and prostitution in a contemporary society, this body of work addresses these issues from the prospective of the history of how females used there body or had the body used to advance from the time of slavery to current time. Some of the images I intentional choose to use non human images as allegories and personification the the act and or consequences of misused and abuse of ones sexuality.”
